Westport men come to us with everything from puffy nipples to full glandular enlargement. Each case gets a personalized plan based on grade, body type, and goals.

Adult Gynecomastia

Most Westport patients fall into this category. Treatment combines gland excision and liposuction for a smooth, masculine chest contour.

Adult Gynecomastia

Teenager Gynecomastia

We provide discreet, age-appropriate care for boys between 15 and 18. Parents accompany their teen at every consultation step.

Teenager Gynecomastia

Bodybuilder Gynecomastia

Steroid use and hormonal shifts can cause stubborn tissue growth in active patients. We treat athletes from Equinox Westport, Longshore, and CrossFit boxes across Fairfield County.

Bodybuilder Gynecomastia

Revision Gynecomastia

We perform revision work for patients who had prior surgery elsewhere. Westport men often come to us after a less-than-ideal first procedure.

Revision Gynecomastia

Post Weight Loss Gynecomastia

Patients who have lost significant weight may need treatment for residual chest tissue. Surgery removes tissue and tightens loose skin for a clean contour.

Gland excision for puffy nipples

The Backstory

It wasn’t the size of his chest that bothered him. It was the nipples. Both protruded noticeably, creating a look that showed through t-shirts and made him self-conscious any time a shirt came off. A lower grade case, but one that affected him daily.

The Consultation

Dr. Reilly confirmed a small but firm disc of glandular tissue sitting directly behind each nipple. That tissue was pushing the nipples forward and creating the puffy appearance. The fix was straightforward: remove the gland, and the nipples would lay flat on their own.

Surgery Day

A focused excision through a small incision at each areola. No liposuction needed. The procedure was one of the quicker ones on the schedule, and he was on his way home shortly after.

Recovery and Result

He wore the compression vest for a few weeks and was back to normal activity quickly. The difference in the before and after is clear. The protrusion is gone, both nipples sit flat against the chest, and fitted shirts are no longer a problem.

Recovery for Westport Patients

Recovery isn’t a textbook timeline. We tailor your return-to-work and return-to-activity windows based on what you do day to day.

Return to Your Desk

Most Westport patients work from home offices or commute to Stamford and NYC. We typically clear desk work by day five and full commute days by week two.

Compo Beach Season

For Westport patients who summer at Compo, late fall through early spring works best. Surgery in November or December puts you well past full healing by Memorial Day weekend.

Workout Schedule

Active patients ask about gym sessions right away. Light cardio resumes at two weeks. Weight training picks back up at four to six weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions from Westport Patients

Westport patients tend to ask many of the same questions before booking surgery. Below are the ones we answer most often.

The drive runs about 25 minutes via the Merritt Parkway in normal traffic. From Saugatuck or Greens Farms, you may add a few minutes to that.

Yes. Most patients arrive in the morning and head home the same afternoon. You’ll need someone to drive you back, but you’ll sleep in your own bed that night.

Yes, virtual consultations are available for any patient who prefers to start that way. Some patients begin with a virtual visit and only come in for surgery and follow-up.

Late fall through early spring works best for Compo Beach regulars. Surgery in November or December puts you well past full healing by Memorial Day weekend.

Most plans treat male breast reduction as cosmetic, so coverage is rare. We work with patients on financing through CareCredit, Cherry, and Alphaeon to make payments manageable.

Most patients don’t need a hotel for a same-day procedure. If a family member joins for the day, the Trumbull Marriott and the Hilton in Shelton sit ten minutes from the office.

Some plans cover surgery for severe Grade 4 cases when documented by a primary care physician. We help families work through the pre-authorization process during the consultation.
